Brazil is the fifth wine producing country in the Southern Hemisphere according to the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization agency of the UN). Wine has been produced there since the Portuguese arrived in the 16th century. Over the past 15 years, an increase of investment has led to a notable increase of quality.
Aurora pink moscato is made from 50% black moscato and 50% white moscato grapes, in the Serra Gaúcha region, Southern Brazil.
This is a sweet, delicate sparkling wine, which has a bright rose pink colour and a sweet aroma of flowers and grapes. On the palate it gives-off sweet grapey flavours, with a well balanced, deliciously light, refreshing quality.
It goes perfectly with desserts like apple pie, cheesecakes, tiramisù and chocolate fondue. It’s also very good with blue cheeses, or on its own!
