Combining a passion for food and ceramics, Mei Kwin’s work blends the artistry of fine dining with the functionality demanded by chefs. She works with chefs to amplify the sensory experience of food so that it becomes a complete expression of art. Her hand-made ceramic plates for Viajante were created through a real collaboration with chef Nuno Mendes to reflect both of their experiences. By working this way, Kwin is able to elevate the beauty of the food.
Kwin is currently studying at Kensington Chelsea College under the guidance of Akiko Hirai, and experimenting at Craft Central – Helen Beard’s studio. She sells her work only through private commission. For inquiries, contact her through firstname.lastname@example.org or her website www.kwinstudio.co
