Bar snacks. They don’t come much more predictable than nuts and olives. Which raises the question, why can’t there be a more gourmet option for the British snacker? Well, that was exactly what Joseph Sopher, wife Jackie and son Adam thought as they set about creating their fabulous product concept – Joe & Seph’s connoisseur popcorn.
But what is it that makes Joe & Seph’s air-popped popcorn so special? First of all, you’ll be amazed by their innovative range of both sweet and savoury flavour combinations. Each popped gem is layered with several luxury flavours that are released one-by-one in your mouth. Not only that, Joe & Seph’s popcorn has significantly fewer calories and less fat than many other popcorn and crisps.
Though what really excites us at vialaporte is the work that Joe & Seph’s have been doing with top hotels to offer their guests a tasty and original snack to match with their cocktails. As well as being served at Claridges and The Grove, Joe & Seph’s have the following popcorn in hotels.
Gin & Tonic – Joe & Seph’s have created this refreshing popcorn for The Hutch Club Popcorn Bar at Park Lane’s Quaglinos, using No. 3 London Dry Gin. Also available are Brandy Butter, Caramel & Whisky and Olive Oil & Sea Salt to team-up with the Club’s gin, vodka, whisky and cognac creations.
Goats’ Cheese & Black Pepper – also a 2012 Gold Great Taste winner, made from tangy goats’ cheese from the Loire Valley, with a subtle burst of heat from a pepper finish. The prestigious Chewton Glen Hotel in the New Forest serves this popcorn as a canapé on its bar menu.
Mirin, Soya, Sesame & Chilli – Rich with a touch of acidity, this is our absolute favourite! And it’s not just ours, as it was awarded a Great Taste Gold Award in 2012. The elegant Hempel boutique hotel has twinned this Japanese rice cracker inspired popcorn with very own signature cocktail.
As well as visiting one of these hotels, you can also get your hands of Joe & Seph’s popcorn by ordering online at www.joeandsephs.co.uk or by visiting Selfridges, Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Whole Foods Markets and selected Waitrose supermarkets. It’s also available in Picturehouse Cinemas.
