The second London venture of Granger & Co. (the first one being in Notting Hill) is bright and modern. A chic white staircase leads you up to the dining room which overlooks a leafy corner of Clerkenwell. The food on offer is Granger’s signature fresh and tasty cuisine.
Known for being a self-taught cook, Granger has always endorsed the quality of ingredients over process. Each dish is a great example of his sourcing philosophy.
The Korean fried chicken comes with iceberg lettuce, spring onions and chilli sesame; a simple gourmet treat that has crunch and zip. If you’d prefer something lighter, try the bass ceviche, grapefruit, avocado and sesame salad.
Our favourite, no doubt, is the sticky chilli belly pork with a spring onion salad. Simply wrap the luscious glazed pork in the salad leaves and enjoy.
It would be hard too, to criticise the amazingly light white chocolate and pistachio pavlova, with strawberries and rosewater cream. The salted caramel and bitter chocolate pots are also tasty and deliciously addictive.
Overall, Granger & Co. delivers a really nice, low-carb style meal. Need a detox and to eat well? Granger & Co. is for you. We think this Australian version of fusion will certainly met your approval.
